'How to create a business model' that will bring ideas to life.
I work with a lot of entrepreneurs who quite frankly, can really blow me away with their ideas. The challenge is how to create a business model that will bring their ideas to life.
The cornerstone of their idea is what value they are creating. In my experience value creation has a direct relationship to the problems that they are solving. So the equation is simple:
solve a problem = value creation
Contrary to many opinions, value creation is a process. I work with clients to help them to identify problems and then we work together to identify a set of blockchain value drivers that can be applied to create the value; solve the problem.
In my courses I teach to two different sets of blockchain values drivers.
- The Tenets of Blockchain, which is a set of unique characteristics of blockchain that can be used to create value.
- The Generic Application Patterns of Blockchain– these are patterns of blockchain that are native to all blockchain applications that create a unique set of value drivers
I guess the key outtake from this article is that even if you have an idea for a blockchain application, and you are not creating value (solving problems) then it will remain just an idea!
